The Christmas of Wonders returns to San Marino for its 24th edition, set to transform the Old Town – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – into an enchanted place where visitors can experience all the magic and excitement of Christmas.

In the heart of the world’s smallest republic, young and old alike can immerse themselves in a fairytale atmosphere amidst spectacular illuminations, Christmas markets, original attractions, events and themed food and drink offerings.

An unmissable event to enjoy the festive spirit, discover original gift ideas and create unforgettable memories in a unique setting.

Light displays

The Christmas of Wonders will welcome visitors with dazzling light displays, festive musical surroundings and stunning light shows that will illuminate the most iconic spots in the Old Town.
The streets and squares of San Marino will be decked out in festive finery, creating an enchanting route through light installations and displays that will make the Republic’s historical and architectural heritage even more extraordinary.
A journey through light, music and magic to discover San Marino in a truly unique Christmas setting.

The Village at Campo Bruno Reffi

At Campo Bruno Reffi, the Village will come to life – an enchanted world entirely dedicated to little ones, which will welcome children and guide them on a journey of discovery through the most magical places of Christmas.
Young visitors will be able to try their hand at fun and creative themed workshops in Santa Claus’ bakery, at the post office, alongside the make-up elf, and in the elves’ workshop, making Christmas decorations from wood, paper and pine cones.
And of course, the undisputed star of Christmas couldn’t be missing: Santa Claus himself! Until 25 December, Santa Claus will be at the Village to meet the children, listen to their wishes and receive their letters.
From 26 December, after working hard over the festive season, he’ll treat himself to a well-deserved rest in his big bed. In his place, the post office will be transformed into the Stocking Tailor’s Shop, run by the Befana, to continue bringing the little ones new surprises and moments of fun.

Christmas Markets

It wouldn’t be Christmas without the warmth and atmosphere of traditional wooden huts. The characteristic Christmas Markets are back along Via Eugippo and Via Donna Felicissima, where you can enjoy the festive charm and find plenty of ideas for your presents.
You’ll be able to discover handicrafts, local specialities, gifts, culinary delights and sweets, for an experience steeped in the spirit of Christmas and tradition.
It’s a chance to stroll amongst the stalls, sample local specialities and find that special gift to put under the tree.

Ice Park

In Cava dei Balestrieri, Christmas becomes even more spectacular with the Ice Park, where a fabulous ice rink awaits young and old alike. Surrounded by marvellous illuminations, the rink will offer an enchanting and fun experience in one of the most picturesque corners of the Old Town. Whether it’s for your first time on the ice or for having fun with friends and family, the Ice Park will be one of the unmissable highlights of the Christmas of Wonders.

Amidst twinkling lights, festive scents, markets, workshops, shows and attractions, the Christmas of Wonders invites everyone to experience the magic of Christmas in the heart of San Marino’s Old Town. An experience designed for the whole family, combining tradition and wonder against the evocative backdrop of a place unlike any other in the world.
