UPDATE - The new decree No. 55 of 29 March 2022 is valid until express repeal. With effect from 1 April 2022, the state of emergency declared with the Order no.4 of 29 October 2020 of the Minister of Health ceases.

FAQ's

Can I come to San Marino from abroad?
For those who come from countries other than Italy and the Vatican City, or who have stayed outside these two countries in the previous 14 days, entry is allowed upon presentation of a special certificate certifying the negativity to the coronavirus, by subjecting it to a molecular or antigenic swab no later than 48 hours before entry and in any case in accordance with the health protocols in force in the Republic of San Marino.

Can I come to San Marino from Italy?
It is possible to come to San Marino from all yellow and white Italian regions. From the orange or red Italian regions it is possible only in case of work necessities, health matters or situations of necessity with self certification.

What are the rules concerning accommodation facilities?
It is highly recommended to wear a mask when entering, leaving and when moving around indoors.

It is highly recommended to wear a mask when entering, leaving and when moving around indoors.
 

What are the rules concerning shops?
It is highly recommended to wear a mask.

What are the rules to visit museums and exhibitions?
It is highly recommended to wear a mask.

What are the rules concerning public transport (buses and cableway)?
The use of public transport service is allowed without the presentation of any documentation. It is highly recommended to wear a mask, preferably of the FFP2 type.

What are the rules concerning theatres, cinemas and other events?
It is highly recommended to wear a mask.

What are the rules concerning wellness centres, game rooms, bingo hall and bowling alley?
It is highly recommended to wear a mask.

Access to commercial activities, personal services and public offices is allowed without the presentation of any documentation.

Use of the mask in closed places open to the public and outdoors
1. It is highly recommended to wear the mask correctly in closed places open to the public, both for users and for operators. In economic activities with the administration of food and beverage to the public, it is highly recommended to wear a mask at the entrance, at the exit, during any internal movement, including clients for take away service.
2. Outdoors, it is highly recommended to wear the mask correctly:
a) in case of events and manifestations, including local markets;
b) whenever it is not possible to maintain an interpersonal distance
3. It is highly recommended to wear the FPP2 type mask:
a) on public transport, including taxis and rented means with driver.
b) in indoor places where it is not possible to guarantee seats for all those present and in any case whenever it is not possible to maintain an interpersonal distance

e) in lifts
4. The following are not subject to this obligation:
a) children under the age of six;
b) subjects with forms of disability not compatible with the continuous use of the mask and subjects who interact with the aforementioned.
