.
The document that determines the guidelines for the development of tourism in the country has been presented today to the Captains Regent by the Minister of Tourism Federico Pedini Amati. The three-year strategic tourism plan that the State Congress approved to develop and manage one of the most important economic sectors in the country. The document includes market analyses, sets long-term objectives and marketing strategies, calls for the necessary public and private infrastructural development and pays attention to the experiences that has to be guaranteed to the over 2 million visitors that San Marino hosts every year. Furthermore, the relational ambitions with the European system for the drafting of projects capable of obtaining funding are clearly outlined.
The document was drawn up by Massimo Feruzzi of JFC with the collaboration of Stefano Moroncelli, who has been consultants to the Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Board for years.
Tourism is a fundamental asset for the economy of San Marino as also confirmed by the International Monetary Fund which in the press release issued at the end of its most recent visit certifies the results recorded by the country speaking of a "tourism boom". and highlighting, as already done previously, the increasingly better data provided by the sector.
The plan follows what is contained in another prestigious text: the "Tourism Marketing & Development Plan" presented in the last legislature and already today at the basis of the strategic activity on the subject.
Both documents were created for the Republic of San Marino and take into account the peculiarities of the territory, the needs and development desires of all public and private stakeholders, the infrastructural system and the potential that can really be expressed.
“They are not dream books, they are real compendiums on how to make San Marino tourism increasingly solid, strong, innovative, sustainable and accessible - said the Minister of Tourism Federico Pedini Amati who then added - accessibility and sustainability are two further themes which we cannot fail to take into account."
Great attention is paid in tourism projects to "Tourism for All" and "Sustainable Tourism" in line with what the United Nations indicates in their objectives and in line with the idea of the country that the Government also promotes.
The program contains, in summary, the strategy that the Ministry of Tourism intends to pursue during the three-year period 2025-2027 for further development that generates new impetus and innovation for the San Marino tourism sector with four primary purposes: recognisability, positioning, identity and internationalization. Factors around which the policies to be implemented will be outlined.
