Art exhibition "Cantare Francesco - Artisti all'Opera" - Homage to Saint Francis of Assisi and the Canticle of the Creatures
From 28 August to 20 September at Palazzo Graziani, San Marino Città
Under the High Patronage of Their Excellencies the Captains Regent, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and the collaboration of the Cultural Institutes of the Republic of San Marino, the major art exhibition "Cantare Francesco" (Singing Francis) opens. Curated by Sister Gloria Riva and the poet Davide Rondoni, it is organized by the Di.Segno Cultural Association with the support of the Nuns of Eucharistic Adoration.
The inauguration will be held on Friday 28 August at 17:00 at Palazzo Graziani (Piazzale Lo Stradone, 13 – San Marino City), in the presence of the curator, Sister Maria Gloria Riva and the poet Davide Rondoni.
A group of artists will engage with the charisma of Saint Francis and the poetic text of the Canticle of the Creatures.
The exhibition, open daily from 8:30 to 19:45, offers an artistic and spiritual journey divided into three sections:
The first, entitled Cantare la Natura (Singing Nature), offers visitors a glimpse of reality transfigured through the eyes of Francis.
Cantare i luoghi (Singing places), on the other hand, offers a visual journey through the places inhabited by the Saint, capturing their deepest spiritual essence.
The third section, Cantare Francesco (Singing Francis), focuses on the contemplation of the miracle of a man who, at the height of his earthly existence, raises his song.
The initiative is part of the program of celebrations for the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi (1226–2026), a calendar of events that combines art, culture and spirituality, renewing the historical bond between the Saint and the Republic of San Marino. It is supported by the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, which has long been committed to promoting and consolidating spiritual tourism, also through projects and initiatives that enhance the network of Franciscan paths and the historical and religious heritage of the Republic of San Marino.
