Parking in San Marino

Parking in San Marino is easy: the Republic welcomes visitors by providing numerous areas where they can park their vehicles with complete convenience.
The car parks are located in strategic spots from which you can reach San Marino’s most enchanting destinations in no time at all, allowing you to explore this unique UNESCO World Heritage Site.

What are the payment methods?
Parking meters: payment in advance by coins or card (credit/debit). The ticket must be displayed clearly on the dashboard.
Barriers: payment before collecting your car via internal automatic pay stations. 
In the case of barrier parking, the system will immediately recognise your number plate and the barrier will open for both entry and exit.
Entry and exit will be guaranteed until 23:59 on the day of check-out.

1 April – 30 September: 8:00 – 24:00
1 October – 31 March: 8:00 – 20:00
Every day of the year (24 hours a day) at P9 only

Car parks for visiting the Old Town
There are numerous car parks in the vicinity of the Old Town, including two bus parking areas and one area designated for campervans. 
All car parks are open-air except for P9.
Car parks P1, P1Bus, P2, P2Bus, P4, P6, P7 and P8 are located within the Old Town, whilst P3, P9, P10 and P11 are just outside.
You can reach the Centre with a short walk from P3, whilst from P9, P10 and P11 you can use the shuttle services.
P9 is a multi-storey, covered car park, accessible via two separate entrances. The entire car park is served by interconnected panoramic lifts that allow you to reach the Old Town in just a few minutes, but you can also choose to walk up a flight of around 300 steps from Via Delle Scalette.
P10 is used for both cars and campervans, and as it is close to one of the entrances to P9, you can use the lifts there to reach the Old Town. 
P11 is situated in the Municipality of Borgo Maggiore and allows you to park your car before taking the scenic cable car. In fact, the cable car takes you to the heart of San Marino’s Old Town in just a few minutes.

On particularly busy days when car parks in the Old Town are full, please follow the instructions of the police officers. You can park your car at car park P12 and use a shuttle service running until 21.00, which connects car park P12 with Piazzale della Stazione.
Fare: € 5.00 per person, including return shuttle journey and car parking
Free for children under 120 cm

Guests travelling by car can take advantage of the reduced rate simply by providing their registration number to the accommodation provider at the time of booking or upon check-in
