XXIII INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF THE MAGIC OF SAN MARINO

This annual historic event in the Republic of San Marino, for a quarter of a century, has been internationally recognized as the meeting point of the excellences of the world of magic, illusionism and card magic.

Three days of shows in theaters and entertainment in the main streets and squares of the Old Town, where there will be amazement and wonder of grownups and kids.

The Patron of the event Gabriele Merli, Mago Gabriel, proudly bears the name of the Republic all over the world and is the call of many international and Italian famous people, who meet here over the three days for workshops, conferences and exchange of magical historical equipment and with the highest modern technologies.

Amongst events open to public: a Family Show Sunday afternoon dedicated to the little ones and free School of Magic open to all on Saturday morning, upon reservation. Another highly yearned for event is Friday evening’s Arzilli Trophy, which every year has the participation of very important personalities. European novelty: Public projection at the Kursaal Congress Center of the historic 1919 silent film, starring Houdini, “Scherzo tragico” (The Grim Game).

The 2022 edition will be hosted once again at the Kursaal Congress Center, with its Conferences and Magic Fairs and some Shows open to the public, while on Saturday evening the appointment will be at the Teatro Nuovo di Dogana for the Grand Gala, which will be conducted by Gaia Elisa Rossi, the 2015 Italian Champion of Magic.

The magical atmosphere of the long spring weekend is eagerly awaited every year by young people and families of the area and show business professionals, but it is an attraction for tourists and those curious to know the fairy world of illusion and manipulation, who can also meet freely along the streets of the Old Town area of the City.

Present for almost 25 years, the history of the Festival follows the birth of the Patron of the Event’s daughter, Magica Gilly, a character now famous throughout Europe for her magic shows of illusionism: 10 years of experiences on stages and magical events, which Giliana she began attending as a child with an elegant confidence and professionalism.
