Created in 1968, the small artificial Lake of Faetano was, and still is, the favourite place for lovers of sport trout fishing.

It is located very close to the road that connects Faetano with Riccione and not far from the river Marano that marks the border with Italy.

The pond covers an area of about 0.0036 km², and is 120 m long and 30 m wide. Nearby there is a useful refreshment place, an essential accompaniment for fishing enthusiasts and sight-seeing visitors, in addition to the headquarters of the San Marino Sport Fishing Federation.

The area was designed and built bearing in mind the needs of sportsmen and the possibility of being able to hold major competitive activities there.
