From Toulouse Lautrec to Modigliani
"L'Ėcole de Paris" - A journey through modern Parisian art and the world of Modigliani is the exhibition promoted by Geko Gold Arte with the patronage of the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture and set up at the State Museum, from 5 June to 7 July.
In San Marino, for the first time, an exhibition with over 100 works dedicated to the artists of the movement born in Paris in the early twentieth century. Also on display is Modigliani's "Little Red Nude".
The exhibition presents a selection of paintings, drawings and lithographs by artists active in Paris in the early twentieth century, between Montmartre and Montparnasse, protagonists of the birth of modern art.
Among the authors on display: Steinlen, Jeanne and André Hébuterne, Lhote, Utrillo, Dufy, Valmier, Thomsen and others. The focal point of the exhibition is the work “Portrait of Casimir Hébuterne”, painted by Amedeo Modigliani and Jeanne Hébuterne, an extraordinary testimony to their personal and artistic bond.
