The atmosphere of the Middle Ages is back in the oldest Republic of the world.
From 25 to 27 July San Marino will immerse itself in the Middle Ages with Medieval Days.
Three days of performances and historical re-enactments to experience the Old Town of San Marino in the manner of ancient times.
The Old Town will be transformed into an evocative theatre where adults and children will be able to dive into the past and encounter fascinating pictures of medieval life, experiencing original places and singular stories, discovering a unique and impressive historical reality, rich in significant cultural testimonies.
Streets and squares of the Old Town will come alive with performances by knights, jesters, minstrels and artisans; visitors may also watch demonstrations of ancient crafts and participate in medieval games. Cava dei Balestrieri will host the exciting evening shows that will culminate on Sunday evening with the traditional Challenge of the Tricorniolo.
During the Medieval Days, the Crossbowman Museum will be open, showcasing the history of the San Marino Crossbowmen Federation with memorabilia and costumes. Visitors can also admire Leonardo da Vinci's Speed Crossbow, crafted by master archer Danilo Giovannini. The Museum will be open from 15.30 to 19.15, from July 25th to 27th, in the Old Town at Contrada Omerelli 51.
Free admission to the 1st Tower - Guaita:
- from 17.30 to midnight on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 (last entry 23.30)
- from 17.30 to 23.00 on Sunday 27 (last entry 22.30)

During the three-day event, you can explore San Marino in a completely new and engaging way.
Option 1 - Visit to the First Tower - Guaita
A unique experience for adults and children, discovering one of the most iconic sites on Mount Titano.
Duration: 30 minutes
Admission: Free donation
Times: 10:00 (in Italian) - 11:00 (in English) - 12:00 (in Italian)

Option 2 - Walk through the Old Town
Discover the timeless charm of the world's oldest Republic and allow yourself be guided through the Old Town’s medieval streets, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a journey through stories, curiosities, and symbolic landmarks.
Duration: 1 hour
Admission: €7.00 per person (free for children under 6)
Times: 15:00 and 16:30 (English on request)
