Ido Erani Exhibition
Between the mystery and charm of the fresco
Ido Erani - "Between the Mystery and Charm of Fresco"
The focus of the exhibition, held in the Pinacoteca San Francesco Museum, are thirty frescoes created over the last decade by the artist, some created specifically for the occasion.
The artist's approach to fresco painting culminates many trials and endeavors.
And perhaps it is precisely his love for the ancient art of the great masters of the past, his fascination with Renaissance Madonnas and their smooth, transparent surfaces, that inspire him to investigate, to search among the myriad materials and polychrome clays, to experiment with the use of marble dust and quicklime to create a suitable support for his frescoes, to generate a unique and ideal preparation, which he himself worked from start to finish.
Ido Erani
His works are exhibited in many European countries, particularly France and Spain.
He gradually explores new visions and enriches his themes: his architecture and landscapes, sacred figures, female figures, women, and Madonnas are enveloped and permeated by a feeling of love. The refinement of his pictorial language, the lightness and elegance that become our artist's signature style, becomes increasingly clear.
