The European Heritage Days are celebrated on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September.

The initiative, jointly proposed by the Council of Europe and the European Commission with the aim of strengthening and fostering dialogue and exchange in the cultural sphere between European nations, this year has as its theme "Sustainable Heritage" which refers to an action for sustainable cultural heritage and for tomorrow.

Cultural heritage is something to cultivate and pass on as it brings people together and helps build a sustainable future.
