San Marino celebrates the 30th anniversary of the memory and legacy of Ayrton Senna and in memory of Roland Ratzenberger
From 27 April to 1 May a series of initiatives in memory of the two pilots
In the framework of San Marino Outlet Experience, the Secretary of State for Work and Sport of the Republic of San Marino Teodoro Lonfernini, the President of the San Marino Auto Motorsport Federation Paolo Valli, the Head of the Political Secretariat of the Presidency of the Emilia-Romagna Region Giammaria Manghi, the Mayor of Imola Marco Panieri, the President of Formula Imola Giancarlo Minardi and the Director of the International Circuit Enzo and Dino Ferrari of Imola Pietro Benvenuti.
The celebrations are part of a global program of tribute to Ayrton's 30 years of legacy and are part of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of official relations between San Marino and Brazil. The name of the Republic of San Marino is linked to the world of engines and the sporting and human history of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger and to Imola where for 26 years the San Marino Formula One Grand Prix was held.
The program of events and celebrations - designed by the Secretariat of State for Work and Sport in synergy with Fondazione Senna, Emilia-Romagna Region, Imola and Fams and coordinated by the agency MOAB - will officially open next April 27 when at 21 the journalist of Sky Sport and host of the program Race Anatomy Fabio Tavelli will present on the stage of the Teatro Titano "The last journey of Ayrton" his monologue dedicated to the history of the Brazilian champion.
From that same evening until May 1, the Three Towers of the Republic of San Marino will light up with the colors of the flag of Brazil and the iconic helmet of Ayrton Senna while on the facade of Palazzo Pubblico, in Piazza della Libertà, images of the two drivers' careers will be projected.
On April 28th there will be the "Titano Trail Run, Senna 30 Years" event organized as part of the event "Energika" with departure and arrival at Campo Bruno Reffi in San Marino where the bust dedicated to the Brazilian is located.
At 11.30 in front of the bust of Ayrton Senna is expected an institutional moment of commemoration while at 12 between the first and the second tower, on the "slackline", will be honored the memory and memory of Senna with a celebratory flag of 40 square meters. The activities of the day will continue in the afternoon with sports and entertainment activities.
